T-SHIRT STICKERS! - Use PRINTARTIST to arrange double graphics for AVERY White Shipping Labels (#8163) (2" x 4"). Print Labels and cut in half (2" x 2"). Distribute to students. BE CREATIVE! You can also print labels that say "I did my BEST of the Test Today".

REFRIGERATOR MAGNETS! I was in several Jr. High Plays and have NO pictures of them. My Students & Parents are going to have Pictures! Use PRINTARTIST or other Graphics Programs to print business card size CLOSE-UPs and NAMES of students in PLAYS. PRINT 10 to a page & Laminate ONE SIDE ONLY. CUT and apply to MagnaCard Business Card Magnets available in the check-out line at OFFICEMAX.

MORALE BOOSTERS! Take a close-up picture of a teacher or student (with their permission) & print it out so that it completely fills 8 1/2" x 11" cardstock. Buy cardboard stand-up of John Wayne, Luke Skywalker, Babe Ruth, etc. at a music store or novelty shop. (I like Captain Kirk & Mr. Spock from Star Trek the best). The face you printed will fit perfectly on the stand-up. Put an old tie or scarf on the standup and you can attach that person's favorite saying to the tie or scarf with scotch tape. (That way it won't remove part of the stand-up photo when you pull it off to make a new morale booster.) Teacher STAR Cards Video on TeacherTube (Templates & Directions in Support File)

FRAMED GOLD FOIL AWARDS! - Promote Your Programs - Design ensigna in PRINTARIST and print on gold foil paper available at BESTBUY (Legacy Ink Jet Metallic Coated Paper) or Print INDIVIDUAL STUDENT ACCOMPLISHMENTS on Gold or Silver Foil Paper and get a 8 1/2" x 11" wood frame from Walmart. Makes a great Student Award! (Update - 1st, 2nd, or 3rd EIGHTEEN TIMES In TWENTY YEARS!)

DESKTOP GLOBES! - Get photo waterglobes at OLD NAVY ($5.00). Take or scan pictures and arrange in design using PRINTARTIST or other graphics program. TEST PRINT on LOW Quality print setting numerous times until you have the right SIZE. Save this as a template for future water globes. Then print (NORMAL QUALITY) and insert in water globe. Makes a great teacher gift and students love to "shake you up"!

MAGNETIC BUMPER STICKERS! - print 3 on 8 1/2" x 11" card stock (LENGTHWISE). Cut and take to KINKO'S for (Heavy) laminating. Trim laminating to within about 1/2" of the edge of the card stock. Attach 3 MAGNACARD business card magnets to back and you have a Large Refrigerator Magnet, Filing Cabinet Magnet, or Waterproof (and removeable when you get tired of it) Magnetic Bumper Sticker! (Note: Fits great just above the bumper on the metal part of a Minivan or Car.)

Newspaper Articles - Stock Market Champions & Character Counts Teacher Cards |
| | 1985 was the first year that TEAM 7, ITASCA DISTRICT #10 won the Stock Market Game (Chicago Tribune/DePaul University edition). Last year in the EconomicsAmerica Stock Market Game, Peacock swept the region winning 1st, 2nd, AND 3rd. TEAM 7 has one percent of the teams in the game and statistically should win ONLY ONCE every ONE HUNDRED YEARS! Yet, Mr. Peel's teams have been fortunate enough to win 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in the state EIGHTEEN times in TWENTY YEARS! A search of the Chicago Tribune Archives "Profits Soar..." will give an idea of our approach to teaching Economics in the Middle School Classroom.
